Full Thickness Skin Grafts

There are many procedures which are used in plastic surgery and one of the procedure adopted especially in severe burn cases is Full Thickness Skin Grafts. The benefits of these grafts are it allows more coverage of the damaged skin and the skin is just like the original skin with the feeling of sensations.

The skin and tissue transplant is usually done from a hairless region and such as the wrist and the elbow crease. The inguinal region could also be a very useful region from where the skin can be grafted.Full thickness graft is used in regions which are weight bearing areas or where there is a possibility of friction.

A full thickness skin grafts contain each layer of the skin with blood vessels and nerves. The blood vessels will start to proliferate and grow in the recipient area in a period of 24 to 36 hours. The common side effects include infections and bleeding. The donor site takes longer to heal and there is always a chance of scar formation. Full thickness skin grafts look more like normal skin since it is thicker and less prone to contraction or deformation. There is also increased resistance to trauma and hence there is less deformation. Since there is a rich blood supply hence there is no hyperpigmentation. The skin is also more closer to natural skin in texture and color.

“ABDOMINAL ETCHING, A BOON TO PEOPLE ASPIRING 6-PACK AB!”

“Abdominal etching surgery, proved a boon for my otherwise difficult life”, says Jason who recently underwent an abdominal etching procedure.

Life for Jason before the surgery seemed dull and apathetic, and sometimes even embarrassing but after knowing about the surgery and a proper research work over the surgeons and patients case history, he was very pleased to get the same done aspiring desperately for a flat, toned waistline. He always dreamed to achieve a fitter, more chiseled appearance. He said, “The procedure is just tailor made for people like me”.

Those endless hours of sweat and exercise at the gym, did not pay? Fancy a six-pack abdomen? The abdominal etching surgery is the answer to your miseries. The best candidates can be men and women who have excess fat and lose skin or muscles and who aspire for a flat stomach and a trim waistline to create a more athletic contour. The procedure requires no implants and provides a spectacular outcome. The simplicity of the surgery makes it the first choice for a person seeking improvement in the detail of their abdominal musculature.

The procedure is rather simple and short, including the use of a special cannula to contour and shape the abdomen to remove the adipose layer and provide with a flat, toned waistline. Requiring only 1 hour the same can be performed under either local or general anesthesia. During the method, several incisions are made in the naval area or in the natural creases of the abdomen, a cannula i.e. a flexible tube is then inserted through these to sculpt the abs and remove the excess fat along the patient’s abdominal muscles.

The precautions or after care include wearing a compression garment for a few weeks past the surgery. Swelling, mild pain and bruising are common post-operation complications and can be eased with proper care and medication. Patients should avoid lifting weight over 10 pounds and putting any sort of pressure on the operated region. The complete outcome and look is visible within 6 months, after the body has had ample time to heal.

Complications can occur with any surgical procedure, a proper care and regular follow-up ensures the best outcome. Results do vary from person to person. Abdominal etching intends to give a flatter, tighter, toned stomach area with stronger muscle definition.

The procedure is most suitable for people who already have a good physique but have a one or two centimeter of “pinchable belly fat”. People like Jason and various others are totally satisfied with the outcome. So what are you waiting for, try abdominal etching to provide your abs a more stunning appearance!
